Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer! The New England Parkinson’s Ride is run almost exclusively under volunteer power and YOU are one of our greatest assets.

We have made some changes to the Registration Form this year, to better define areas of need and simplify the assignment process. Please read through it carefully.

Also, please understand that we have extremely limited staff handling all aspects of the ride, including the scheduling of over 250 volunteers. Your patience and willingness to be flexible is greatly appreciated.

If you have questions or concerns, please email us at neparkinsonsride@gmail.com.

Thank you!

  • Although the Saco Bay Rotary has generously agreed to handle the food prep and distribution on Friday, we still need many volunteers to assist in various capacities. Please select no more than TWO.
  • If you would like to serve at a REST STOP, please read carefully before making your selection and CHECK NO MORE THAN THREE BOXES. It is important that you are able to serve for the entire time selected. Rest stop volunteers will direct cyclists, distribute food and drink, and cheer our cyclists on!
  • This is one of the areas of greatest need, as we require multiple vehicles & assistants on each route. It is also one of the most interactive and satisfying volunteer opportunities. SAG vehicles provide assistance to cyclists with minor bicycle repairs, minor first aid, food, drink, and a ride when necessary. PLEASE CHECK AS MANY AS APPLY
  • Please select UP TO THREE areas where you are willing and able to serve. It is important that you are able to serve for the entire time indicated so please read carefully when making your selections.
  • Particularly if you live locally we could really use some help packing all canopies, folding tables, and miscellaneous containers into trailers for the return trip to our office in NH. We will make the decision on timing once we know the best time for volunteers. We could also use local residents to keep an eye out for Ride Signs that may have been missed on the roads.
